Scholarship: Tim Cayler Service Scholarship *AFC

For all AFC high school senior students:

Tim Cayler had a deep faith in God and believed fully in the call to be the hands and feet of Christ for one another. Participating in church life, in a variety of ways throughout his entire life, was a way of life for him. Sharing his musical gifts is what he is most remembered for, and as the Director of Music for Jesus Our Living Water Catholic Area Faith Community, he also made it his priority to serve by doing anything else necessary to help make each mass, funeral, wedding, quincinera, or any other event operate as smoothly as possible. He spent endless hours communicating, preparing, practicing, planning, encouraging others, and connecting with people. He demonstrated the importance of sharing the life of Christ and being the love of Christ.

Tim died in June 2025, and his family and friends are sponsoring this scholarship as one way to honor and remember Tim and his service to Christ. This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a high school senior who shares the love of service to God by their participation in parish life at any church within the Jesus Our Living Water Area Faith Community.

Applicant must provide two letters of recommendation from pastor/supervisors that testify your church service and show your dedication to serving others in a Christ-centered life.

This application and completed reference recommendation forms must be returned to the parish office by Monday, April 27, 2026.
